    Dona Rae Hall Nelson, of Bennett, Utah, passed away on April 15, 2021, in Roosevelt, Utah. She was 85 years young.
    Dona Rae was born on June 14, 1935, in Leeton, Utah, to Vernie Carl Hall and Reva Hartle Hall. She married the love of her life, Dale W. Nelson, on May 1, 1953. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 27, 1968. They spent 67 years together.
    In her younger years she had many jobs. Among those, her favorite was the time she spent working in the school system.
    Her greatest love and joy in life was her family. It was large and loud and always filled with love and laughter. She made each member feel important in a special way.
    Her life interests included growing a large garden, canning fruits and vegetables for storage, quilting with family members and friends, and doing family history.
    Shw was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in various callings. She loved serving and helping those around her. Dona Rae and Dale served in the Vernal Temple, the Bishop’s Storehouse, and as full-time missionaries in the Portland Oregon Mission, where acquaintances became family to them.
    Dona Rae is survived by her husband, Dale W. Nelson; children, Annette (Nile) Mathisen, of Ballard, Utah; Paula (Asa) Laws, of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Jodie (Dan) Crozier; Peggy Lemon; Terry (DeAnn) Nelson, all of Ioka, Utah; and Anthon (Becky) Nelson, of Evanston, Wyoming; sisters, Catherine Grant and ReVae Olson; 24 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernie Carl Hall and Reva Hartle Hall; siblings, DeRay Hall, Darrel Hall, Carol Jean Monsen, and cary Hall’ son-in-law, David K. Lemon.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the Ballard Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
    A viewing will be held that morning from 10:00-10:45 AM prior to the service.
    Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
