THESE PRICES ARE EFFECTIVE AS OF JANUARY 1, 2023, BUT THEREAFTER ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the

items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and

overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will

explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected

This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (A portion of this fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)

Our fee for the basic services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family and responsible parties; arrangement of funeral; preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notice; and includes coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g. cemetery, crematory, vault companies and others as required. Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facilities such as sheltering of remains, professional licensing, legal and accounting fees, insurance, building and utility expenses, parking lot and grounds, maintenance, taxes, equipment, furnishings, inventory costs, record keeping, secretarial and administrative expenses.

Embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Embalming is the surgical temporary preservation and sanitation of human remains. Embalming helps to retard the decomposition process, enhances the appearance of the human body disfigured by traumatic death or illness, and makes it possible to lengthen the time between death and the final disposition.



Utah State health regulations [R436-8-3] requires burial or cremation within 24 hours of death if no embalming takes place, unless refrigeration is available. Refrigeration is available at our mortuary. If a body is being transferred out of state or by common carrier, it must be embalmed.

A cremation permit is required by the State of Utah [58-9-607(1)(b)]. Utah State charges for this permit and it will be a separate item on the contract

This may include dressing of the deceased, cosmetics, handling and moving of the remains, and/or any other

preparations that we deem necessary in order to have a clean and acceptable outcome.

Other Services

Our charge for an immediate burial, without any attendant rites or ceremonies, includes removal and shelter of remains, local transportation to the cemetery, necessary services of staff, and authorizations.

This charge includes removal of remains, necessary services of staff, embalming, acquiring necessary authorizations and a minimum shipping container. This charge does not include visitation, rites or ceremonies prior to forwarding of the body. (If the body is to be removed from the state, a burial/transit permit is required. The state charges for this permit and it will be a separate item on the contract.)

Outer Burial Container Price List

State or local law does not require that you buy a container to surround the casket in the grave. However,

many cemeteries require that you have such a container so the grave will not sink in. Either a grave liner or a burial

vault will satisfy these requirements

Hullinger Mortuary does maintain an inventory of burial clothing and under garments, as well as a full line of Temple Garments and Temple Clothing for endowed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Through our sister company, Hullinger Memorials Inc., we can provide quality custom headstones, markers, and memorials to the Uintah Basin and beyond.

Markers and Medallions may be applied for and are provided, at no cost, from the Veterans Administration to deceased veterans that have been honorably discharged from the United States Armed Services. Some cemeteries require that VA markers be set in a cement foundation and medallions affixed to an existing stone.

A military burial flag is presented to the survivor of the honorably discharged deceased veteran as a symbol of appreciation of the service rendered to our country by the veteran. The Veterans Administration provides only one veteran burial flag for the deceased veteran. A flag display case is a lasting and memorable tribute to your loved one.
