Wanda Reynolds

Wanda Massey Reynolds, 92, best friend, sweetheart, and mother and grandmother passed away June 15, 2020 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. The love and laughter she gave to everyone she met will be greatly missed.
She was born September 15, 1927 in Vernal, Utah to Lewis Fry “Van” Donnelly Massey and Maybell Young Glanville Thacker Massey.  She was the 11th of 14 children and loved each one of her siblings and their children. At age 16, she married Sylvan Reid “Tillie” Reynolds, July 14, 1944; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He died May 15, 1996.  They were the parents of two sons, Terry Lee and Robin Reid.
Wanda’s life revolved around her family. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her loved ones. She always made sure they were well fed and knew they were unconditionally loved by her. She loved working in her yards and growing beautiful rose bushes. She worked as a waitress at Frontier Grill, Sather’s Jewelry, Mountain Bell Telephone, Union High School, and Utah Job Service.  In her eighties, she started to work at Reynold’s Used Cars, which put her in competition with her son Robin.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding many callings through her life, her favorites being a Gospel Doctrine Teacher for over 9 years and a temple worker for over 15 years. She made many life-long friends at every place.
She is survived by her son, Robin (Susan) Reynolds of Roosevelt; daughter-in-law, Gwen Reynolds of Mesquite NV; brother, Donelly Massey of Vernal; six grandsons and two granddaughters; 8 great-grandchildren; and her wonderful family at China Star.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terry, her husband, her parents, and 12 siblings.
