Vicki Smith

Vicki Lynne Hadley Smith, age 75, of Vernal, Utah, passed away on January 12, 2021 at the Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal from complications of Pneumonia.
Vicki was born January 11, 1946 in Ogden to Leonard and May Willson Hadley.
She married the love of her life, Donald A Smith on July 19, 1963 in Ogden, Utah.  They had 4 children.  Anyone who knew Vicki loved her deeply, no one who met her would have a bad word to say about her.  She was loved by all.  She had a personality that drew people to her, she was very sincere and had a great love of people.  She loved her family very much and she not only voiced it but showed it everyday in all she did.  She was a very strong woman who for the last 33 years of her life fought an auto immune disease call Scleroderma.  It was hard for everyone to see her not feel well and be in pain, but she never complained and just got thru it day by day.  Her endurance and strength is an example for us all.  Vicki belonged to the Vernal congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She loved her God Jehovah and told others of her hope for everlasting life on earth in paradise conditions.  She had faith in Jehovah’s promise of a resurrection and voiced her happiness for this promise the morning she passed away.  She will be missed by so many.
Vicki is survived by her husband, Donald Smith, Vernal; children, Sheila (Kent) Bird, Allen Smith, Alesha (Randy) Melton, Joshua (Mandy) Smith, all of Myton; siblings, Connie (Al) Warden, South Weber; Brent (Elena) Hadley, Ogden, Carol (Brent) Wilson, Plain City, and Shelli Weinburger, SLC; with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and May Hadley, brothers, Rod and Ronnie Hadley, sister, Ruth Reed, her in-laws, Donald B Smith and Ida Jackson, and grandsons, Christopher and Kyler Smith.
It was Vicki’s desires to be cremated and the family has decided not to have a service at this time.  We will do a memorial service in the future when all the family can safely gather.
