Jimmy Michael Cesspooch, age 73, of Randlett, passed away on March 19, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. 
Jimmy was born April 17, 1946 in Ft. Duchesne to Henry Cesspooch and Vera Serawop Cesspooch.  
After high school, he joined the United States Army in Field Artillery (FA).  He was inducted into military service on January 17, 1968 and after Basic Training and Advanced Training he was sent to Vietnam on 28 October 1968.  He was assigned to Battery A, 1st Battalion, 83rd Artillery.  His battery was moved from multiple Fire Bases in support of major operations.  He returned to the USA on 25 October 1969.  He obtained the rank of Specialist Four and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal; Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal w/bronze service star; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon w/Device (1960); Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation Badge; Expert Rifleman's Badge.  He was 22 years of age when he went to war.
He married Alvera M. Mancito on August 7, 1990 in Vernal.
Jimmy worked in law enforcement for many years.  Working with the Ute Indian Tribe Police Department, Fish and Wildlife, and was later the director of the Ute Tribe Security. In his spare time, he founded and was the commander of Northern Ute Tribe Search and Rescue which later became Uintah and Ouray Search and Rescue Mountain Patrol.   He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and enjoying the beautiful scenery.  
He is survived by his wife Alvera Cesspooch, children, Henry (Valencia) Cesspooch, Delmar Cesspooch, Gary Cesspooch, Alex Cesspooch, Michael Cesspooch, 3 grandchildren, siblings, JoAnna Cesspooch LaRose,  ½ siblings, Venice Shavanaux, and Dru Shavanaux McConkie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Elvira Cesspooch, siblings, Frances Ann Cesspooch, Eddie Jones Cesspooch, Rueben Jones Cesspooch, Marie Cesspooch, Rodell Kelly Cesspooch, Ladene Hamilton Cesspooch,1/2 siblings, Danny Kay Shavanaux, Bennett James Cesspooch,  grandparents, David & Edith Brock Serawop, and Albert & Lou-Peta Cesspooch.
Funeral services held on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Randlett Community Building.  A wake will be held after 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
Burial was in the Randlett Cemetery with military honors.
