Willis Troy “Gabby” Chivers, age 67, of Whiterocks, passed away February 19, 2021, at the Utah Valley Hospital from complications of a pulmonary embolism.
He was born June 9, 1953, in Roosevelt, to Tex and Mary Lee Chivers.
Gabby worked from 1986 - 2002 at the Moon Lake Hydroelectric plant in Uintah Canyon until an accidental electrocution. He then became a stay-at-home dad then grandpa and loved taking care of his grandkids.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, calling elk, cooking, and gambling – often taking trips to Wendover.
His love of life and happy-go-lucky personality will be greatly missed.
Gabby is survived by his wife, Rena; son, Troy Len Chivers (Kris Kendall); grandchildren, Xeth Willis, Cherysh Vernice, & Gavin Troy Chivers, all of Whiterocks; sisters, Leanna (John) Thunehorst, Whiterocks; Darlene Hullinger, Salt Lake City; many nieces and nephews, and his Poker Buddies.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cinder Marie Chivers, sister Laura Kay Aguilar, and his parents.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Farmcreek - Reed Cemetery. There will be a visitation that morning at the Hullinger Mortuary from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
