Christine Ann Thompson, age 59, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away August 21, 2020, at the Utah Valley Medical Center.
She was born December 28, 1960, in Roosevelt, to Willis and Yvonne Brock Thompson.  She had been together with Ronald Groves.  
Christine had attended Bacone College in Oklahoma and BYU.  She worked for the Ute Tribe and was most recently the Director of Housing.   She was very professional, liked to learn new things and travel to new places with her companion and children. .  She was very knowledgeable about her Native American traditional ways.  She was skilled at beadwork, sewing, and other crafts.  She attended and participated in Pow Wows, Sundances, and Bear Dances.  
She had a warm, loving heart and her children and grandchildren were the love of her life.
Christine is survived by her companion, Ronald Groves; her children Rowena “Dolly” (William) Reed, Roosevelt; Sasha Lopez, Towaoc; Reece Lopez, Dustin “Wyatt” Thompson, both of Ft. Duchesne; 2 grandchildren, Danilynn Lopez-Appawoo, Hunter Lopez; siblings, Kim Thompson, Roosevelt; Noreen (Fred Sr.) Thompson-Hulin, Mesa, AZ; Kylie Thompson, Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis & Yvonne; grandfather, Tommy Thompson; grandmothers, Rose Sibello & Alice Ann Tuck.
Due to COVID-19 exposure the graveside service and viewing will be for close family only.  It will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ouray-Tabbee Cemetery and the viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 25th, from 3-5 p.m.  There will not be a wake.
