Boyd D. Collins 86, passed away February 8, 2021, at his home in Salt Lake City 
He was born August 19, 1934, in Roosevelt, Utah, to T. Golden and Florell Marx Collins. Boyd graduated from the Deaf and Blind school in Ogden, where he was a star basketball player, and student body president.
Boyd served on many boards for the Utah Deaf Association including President. In his younger years, Boyd loved, hunting, fishing, and bowling. He married Gloria Purser Nielson on November 15, 1979. He worked as a loading dock manager for the trucking company, Pacific International Express, for 31 years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, serving faithfully in many callings. 
Boyd is survived by his siblings, Gaye Berg, Kaye (Duane) Frisby, Tom (Margie) Collins; sister-in-law,  Irene Collins; step-daughter, Jayne Erickson; grandson, Dustin Neuman; and one great-granddaughter. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, siblings, Myrtle Cook, Clyde Collins, Mary Taylor, and Allen Collins; as well as brothers-in-law, Orlan Cook, Earl Taylor, and step-son, John Nielson. 
Funeral services for family only will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary, with a viewing from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. 
Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
