Alvin Carl Ignacio, age 79, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away March 26, 2021, at his home.
He was born July 1, 1941, in Ft. Duchesne, to Carl Ignacio Pawwinnee and Daisy MountainSheep. He married Joliet Ankerpont on October 6, 1986, in Vernal.
Alvin worked for many years as an oil and gas technician for the Ute Tribe Energy and Minerals Department. He enjoyed watching old classic & western movies, hunting & fishing when he was able, being in the mountains, and watching rodeo on TV. He loved his grand-dog, Kane Mart!
Alvin is survived by his wife, Joliet, of Ft. Duchesne; children, Gregory Ignacio (Maureen Serawop), Vernal; Jeremy, Joseph, & Jonathan (Darien Mart) Ignacio, all of Ft. Duchesne; a grandson whom he helped raise, Benjamin Pawwinnee, and another grandson, Israel Ignacio. He was also survived by his siblings, Carleen (Ed) Kurip, Whiterocks; Bruce (Adriana) Ignacio, Beverly (Collin) Mojado, both of Ft. Duchesne, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ronald Ignacio; and two nieces, Nicolette Kurip & Ana Ignacio.
Alvin’s wishes were to be cremated and not have any services.
