Xavier James Vigil Taveapont, age 32, of Coonsville, Roosevelt, Utah, passed away on February 5, 2026 in Provo, from complications of a car accident that happened in 2019, where he riding as a passenger.
Xavier was born March 26, 1993 in Roosevelt, Utah to Raylayne Sue Checora and Franklin James Vigil Taveapont, Sr.
Xavier loved the mountains, hiking, fishing, and hunting. He was a wonderful artist and could draw about anything. He had a green thumb and was know for his beautiful plants. He enjoyed rapping, his rapping name was “Whiteriver Savage”, which came from his great grandfather, Chief Redcap, who was the chief of the Ute Tribe and was a member of the Whiteriver Band. He was very outgoing, liked working out, and was known as a jokester. He was very family oriented and loved his whole family and delighted in being a father.
He is survived by his mother, Raylayne Checora, his children, Chaos Taveapont, Riot Taveapont, and Payton Taveapont, the mother of Chaos & Riot, Patty Brock, and his siblings, Franklin (Melissa) Taveapont, Jr., Jeremiah Taveapont, Tera Taveapont-Black, and Christopher Taveapont.
He is preceded in death by his father, Franklin Taveapont, Sr., brother, Darius Poowegup, favorite auntie, LaDoris “Dorie” Taveapont, grandparents, Reid & Marie Taveapont, and Stanford Checora, Sr.,
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Whiterocks Community Pentecostal Church. A wake will be held at Raylayne Checora’s home in Coonsville after 2:00 PM on Saturday.
Burial will be in the John Harmes Cemetery in Whiterocks, Utah.
