Ron Etheredge

    Willard Ronald “Ron” Etheredge, age 76, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at his home in Bennett, Utah.
    Ron was born August 20, 1947, in Roosevelt, Utah to Willard and Mildred McKowen Etheredge. He lived in Roosevelt for most of his life. He married Lynette Brough and they had two children, Beverly Lydee and Willard Michael "Mike". They later divorced.
    Ron served his country, enlisting in the Utah National Guard, spending 6 years in the Combat Engineer Unit as a Communications Specialist / Radio Technician. He married Louella Gurr, who passed away in 1999. Ron worked for the Forest Service at Flaming Gorge, Dutch John, Sheep Creek, Manila, and other areas. He also worked for several construction companies in the Uintah Basin. He loved automobiles, mechanics, and the entire auto body industry, in which he worked for many years.
    Ron married Marie Bolton and they made their home in Bennett, Utah. Marie passed away in November 2023.
    Ron is survived by his daughter, Beverly (Cody) Shifflet; his son, Mike (Julie) Etheredge; grandsons, Anthony (Baillie) Etheredge, Austin (Ozzy) Etheredge (Bailey Blanchard); granddaughter, Mikki Jae Etheredge; as well as four great grandchildren, Hayden, Asher, Axxel, and Markey. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly (Keith) Hansen.
    He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, his wife Louella Gurr Etheredge and his wife Marie Bolton Etheredge.
    Ron had a great sense of humor and a quick wit which was enjoyed by those who knew him. He is gone from us and will be missed tremendously, but he will live on in our hearts forever.
    Per Ron's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no funeral service. Interment next to his beloved wife will take place in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
