Homer Wayne Lee, age 76, of Bluebell, Utah, passed away August 27, 2024, at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah
He was born June 19, 1948, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Homer and Marjorie Brown Lee. In his younger days he worked at the sawmill in Lapoint with his father.
He served in the United States Army during Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
Wayne worked most of his life in the oil field and most recently as a pumper. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, riding his horses, and gardening both vegetable and fruit trees. One of his talents and favorite hobby was drawing. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America and was a coach for all of his kid’s sports, even helping and supporting his daughters and granddaughters in their barrel racing. He was a hardworker and instilled his work ethic into all of his family. He was a jack-of-all-trades who could build almost anything.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various calling throughout the years.
He loved his family and would do almost anything for them.
Wayne is survived by his children Cody (Tammi) Lee, Ballard; Mindy (Jason) Rasmussen, Roosevelt; Brett (Vanita) Lee, Roosevelt; Jessica Lee (Tom Carter), Neola; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren with one on the way; a sister, Karla Coltharp, of Orem; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lapoint Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Friday from 6-7 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary.
Military honors will be presented.
