Uriah Ray Greyeyes, age 29, of Ft. Duchesne, was killed in an automobile accident on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 in Ballard.
He was born August 3, 1986 in Roosevelt to Rosa Irene Greyeyes and Michael Dean Stalder but was raised by and considered Orlando Copperfield to be his father. He married Megan Steele, they later divorced. He was engaged to Brandy Christensen.
Uriah was outgoing and enjoyed people. He was caring, loving, very compassionate, and was a jokester. Hobbies included hunting, fishing, and wrestling. One of the first to graduate from the Duchesne County Alternative High School. Worked as a pumper, a heavy equipment operator and attended Wyoming Tech. His favorite pastimes were his Anime, Dragon Ball Z, and any video game.
He grew up with the Kanip Boys and their mom was his grandma. They taught him much about the Native American Church ceremonies, preparing and setting up the Sundances, and building the corral for the Bear Dance, where he often danced.
Survived by his daughter, Sariah Greyeyes; companion, Brandy, step-children, Percedes "Itty Bitty" & Gilbert "Baby G" Campa, mother Rosa (Delmar Jr.) Duran, father, Orlando Copperfield, father, Michael Stalder, sibling, Odell-Shine Littleshield (Daniel Black), grandmother, Holly Lucero.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mabeline Yazzie; grandparents, Roger & Erma Greyeyes, Lorna Bear, Marion Wall; Viola Bush Smith, Alberta Kanip; sons, Rylan & Liam Greyeyes; brother, Justin Bear;
Funeral services held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Helen's Catholic Church. Burial in the Red Knoll Cemetery.
