TyLynne “Ty” Petunia Tortice Kane, Too-Sah-Vaa-Vich (Ute: Mark Upon My Face) Nylin (Apache: Beautiful), forever 22 years old, died September 20, 2024, in Salt Lake City from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Duchesne County.

 She was born April 28, 2002, in Roosevelt, to Lloyd Jr. and Angel Checora Kane, and was helped raised by her oldest sister, Samantha Ankerpont. 

 Ty loved spending time with her family, especially taking care of her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed crocheting, beading, driving places, listening to music, going to concerts (most recently “Mexican OT”), shopping, watching Anime and Manga, and collecting Anime and Funko Pops. She had attended culinary school in St. George and was a talented baker and cook. She attended Pow Wows and was a Fancy Dancer when she was a child. She went hunting with her dad, and loved being spoiled by her sisters. She enjoyed doing diamond dots and lego figures, creafting, trying new places to eat and playing board games. Her favorite place to travel was Las Vegas and favorite holiday was Halloween. She was very much loved and will be deeply missed.

 Ty is survived by her parents, Lloyd & Angel Kane; siblings, Samantha Ankerpont (2nd Mom), Tia Kane (Jesse LaKota), Angelica Kane, Sarah Kane, Elijah Checora; companion, Ar’Zhonnie Thompson; nieces & nephews whom she loved dearly: Tikari Roe, Analiah Kane, Eisen Serawop, The Twin Girls, Kheya & Iktomi Lakota, Azazel Kane; two special sisters, Kayleigh Sowsonicut & Corrine Mehkewa; aunts, Cheron Navanick, Sharanne Cuch, Denene Kane, Amenda Mahkewa, Sandy, Teresa, Tonya, Bertha Black; Erlinda & Ernestina Moya; Frances “Tiny” Yazzie; Elodee Ethelbah; Rema Beach; Natalie Kane; Lydia GoClanney, Kandi Burnette, Bonnie Hawthorne, Evangelynn & Angelynn Roehrig, Ramona Go Clanney, Constance Kane, Mary Roe, Tissy Cuch; uncles, Angelo Checora, Sr., Philip Westin, Ryan, Lorenzo, Derrick Black; Robert Jack, Jr.; Harold Hawthorne, Sr., Hilbert & Hubert GoClanney, Brezzy Clawson, Ulysses Alsenay; grandmothers, Pauline Black, Clarinda Weston, Roxy Ramirez, Ina Jane Nephi, Angela Shavanaux, Helen Wash, Leona Hawthorne, Lorrinda GoClanney, Edith Smith, Regina Burnette; grandfathers, Leonard Smith, Gibson Smith.

 She was preceded in death by Frieda Nannatz, George & Minnie Nannatz, Serena Blain, Alfred Checora Sr., Lloyd Kane Sr., Deanna PenningJack, Virginia Duncan, Polly GoClanney, Kino Kane, Gregory PenningJack, Jerel Hawthorne, Orlando Rameriz, Louis Weston, Purcel & Constance Kane, Alice Tom, Valadina Horrocks, and TyLynne’s fur babies: Tati & Ruby Rooh.

 Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Duchesne Community Building. She will be taken to her parents home for a wake on Monday. 

 Burial will be in the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery.
