    Tibbs Ridley, 65, of Farm Creek, passed away peacefully at home in Fort Hall, Idaho, with his family on Sunday, February 17, 2019.
    He was born September 23, 1953 in Roosevelt to Benton and Marjorie LaRose Ridley.  He grew up in Farm Creek, attended the local area schools, went to high school in Tuscon, AZ and also Stewart, NV.
    He married Marilyn Trujillo and they later divorced. Tibbs found love again with Leana Williams. They were married on December 9, 1977 and began their family with Azura, Anee and Tyson. Together they had three daughters: Reynese, Tess and Ressary Ridley.
    He was a Sundancer, active in powwows, avid fisherman and hunter, a rancher and a basketball player. Tibbs was also a husband, father and friend who will be fondly remembered for his love for his family, work ethic, his love of music and his pearly white smile.
    Tibbs lived in Farm Creek, for work and during the off season called Fort Hall, ID his home. Throughout his life he held many jobs. He was a painter for Ute Fab, BLM Fire Fighter in Idaho Falls, Head Start bus driver in the Whiterocks area, worked for the Tribal Fish Hatchery, and was a police officer, jailer and court bailiff. He also did labor for Ute Tribe Water Settlement Co-Op, and did agricultural work in Ft. Duchesne.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 40+ years, Leana Williams Ridley, Fort Hall, ID; his daughters, Azura Aca Ridley, Reno, NV; Reynese (Nick), Tess & Ressary Ridley; Anee Angel; his son, Tyson Shay, all of Fort Hall, ID; grandchildren, the light of his life, Telson (June), Emery and Draven Jake, KiRae Gonzales, Freddy Williams, Leevi Ninnevoo, DeReese and Trevyn Shay, Isaiah “Jack” Halugan and Andres Ridley, Dauntae and Keyorie Ball, and LeNise, Jamal and Jalil Ish, great-grandchildren, Haiden and Anela Yellowfawn Jake. His siblings, Ridley LaRose (Roberta) Eagle Chief, Linda (Douglas) Vanderhoop, Farm Creek; Babes (Ferron) Secakuku, Roosevelt; Riley Chet (Annie) Ridley, Sr., Whiterocks; Anna (Jaime) Quintana, Farm Creek, an uncle Antone Appawoo, Sr., and aunt, Delores Arrowchis.
    Tibbs was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Newton & Lonnie.
    Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Whiterocks Community Building.  A wake will be held after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at Ridley Eagle Chief’s home in Neola.
    Burial in the Red Knoll Cemetery.
