Tamara Jo “Tami” Workman Ferguson peacefully passed away, Friday, February 20, 2026, at the age of 73 in her home surrounded by her family, who love and admire her in every way.

Tami was born on May 13, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Wane and Jo Ann Ward Workman. As the oldest of four children, she grew up with one younger brother and two younger sisters. She was raised in Roosevelt, where she developed the roots and relationships that shaped her life. Tami married her sweetheart, Dennis Ferguson, on March 13, 1971, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on July 18, 1998. Together they welcomed two boys and two girls. They spent the first eight years of their marriage in Sandy, Utah, before returning home to Roosevelt.

Tami dedicated her life to sharing her gifts and talents, lifting others, and cultivating/creating a beautiful, loving home for her family and serving those around her. Her primary anchor was to our Savior Jesus Christ and becoming more like him was her goal. Motherhood was her most cherished calling. Additionally, she served in multiple callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Stake and Ward Relief Society President, Ward Young Women's and Primary President, Stake and Ward Girls' Camp Director, Gospel Doctrine Teacher, Family History Worker, Temple Ordinance Worker, and Missionary. Her absolute love was serving those on the other side of the veil, doing Family History Work.

Tami also found deep purpose in serving through the LDS Addiction Recovery Program, the Thompson House, and the Interfaith Group. She served quietly and was continually striving to “lift up the hands which hang down, and strengthen the feeble knees,” blessing countless lives along the way.

Her artistic soul thrived and loved to create in the garden, kitchen, sewing, and at home. She reinvented herself many times throughout her life - first as a secretary, then working in the high school with the teenagers she loved and later owning and operating a floral and wedding business. In her 50s, she returned to school and launched a home drafting business. For two decades, she enjoyed drafting homes and living spaces. Her talent was recognized until the very end, with requests for her work continuing until she was overcome by health issues.

Tami is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dennis; her children, Dennis (Karla) Ferguson, Dana (Jay) Juergens, Sean (Emily) Ferguson, and Farah (Tyler) Prawitt; her sister, Sue (Lance) Denver, and her stepmother, Jackie Workman. Tami & Dennis have 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren with two additional great-grandchildren on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Wade Workman; her sister, Cheri Workman; and her daughter-in-law, Brittany Ferguson.

She spent her final days expressing her love to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and bearing her testimony of her Savior to all. Her greatest passion and love is her family. They are her most cherished blessings.

We are grateful to all who visited and supported Tami and family during the last few months of her life.

Her unwavering faith was summed up in two of her favorite sayings: "I know who holds the future - I know that my Redeemer lives".
