Shantell Young

Shantell Deonne Brady Young, age 22, of Duchesne, and her unborn son, passed away October 23, 2018, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born October 7, 1996, in Roosevelt, to DeLoy Burdett and Heidi Drawe Brady.  She excelled at Duchesne High School and was part of the Drill Team that took the state championship all four years that she was a member.  She was a state and region Drill Down Champion, was the captain her senior year and was named to the All State Drill Team.  After high school, she attended and graduated from Taylor Andrews Academy of Hair Design and worked at Dy-Versities Salon in Duchesne.
She married Macoy Young on September 10, 2016, in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their love is one of a kind.
Shantell loved her job as a hair and make-up stylist, she was also into fashion and clothes – she had a great sense of style.  For all her “girlie, girlness”, though,  she really enjoyed going to the mountains with Macoy, and helping him with his logging business – she even had her own pair of work boots.  They were great fans of the New England Patriots and the Utah Jazz.  She loved going with her dad to classic car shows.  She had two puppies, “Dinah” & Yeti, whom will miss her greatly.
She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and recently held the calling of Primay Pianist, which she loved.
Her family was very important to her and her siblings look up to and adore her.
Shantell is survived by her husband, Macoy; parents, DeLoy & Heidi Brady; siblings, Kylee, Brianna, Cameron, Brynlee, & Kade Brady, all of Duchesne; grandfather, Willi Drawe, Stockton, Utah; great-grandmother, Eileen Smith, South Jordan; parents-in-law, Roger & Shelly Young, Fruitland; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Shaniqua & Colton Roberts, Altamont; Shakira Young, Dakota Young, Fruitland; grand-parents-in-law, Dean & Gayle Young, Duchesne; and Lynn and Linda Luke, Heber City.
