Samantha Ann Mart Hogan

Samantha Ann Mart Hogan, age 40, of Altamont, passed away in her home on December 26. 2022.
    She was born June 29, 1982, in Roosevelt, Utah.  Samantha was raised in Bluebell by Rush and Shanalee Loertscher and graduated with honors from Sherman Indian High School in California.
    She became a mother in 2002 and devoted all her days to making sure her daughter had a safe, loving home and a good education.
    Sami loved to play volleyball, and was a great artist. She loved nature, the ocean, animals and working with children. She liked the color purple, lilacs, going for drives and singing with her daughter at the top of their lungs. She was fun, funny, playful and spontaneous. She was proud of her Native American heritage and loved her nieces and nephews. 
    She was very giving, always offering help to others and looking out for their well-being.
    Sami moved with Nakisha from Utah to Maui in 2007, returning in 2017. She loved working with plants and succulents.
    Sam loved the people in her life with great dedication and had a way of forming deep bonds with those she loved. She is survived by her daughter, Nakisha Cielo Mart, and an extensive list of other relatives – both by blood, and by love, as family.
    She requested no services, or viewings upon her death. The family requests that you honor her life in any manner that is meaningful to you.
