Samantha Josephine Bush

    Samantha Josephine Bush, age 40, of Whiterocks, passed away March 15, 2023, at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City.
    She was born July 30, 1982, in Roosevelt, to Samuel Joe and Eldora Taveapont Bush.  She found Marmar and they were companions until the end of Samantha’s life. 
    Samantha had worked as a housekeeper in her early days, but was mostly a mother and caretaker for all of her life.  She loved kids and was a great mother to everyone, her own children and others alike.  She enjoyed doing beadwork, collecting jewelry, hats, phone cases and anything with beadwork.   She often went with friends to Wendover and traveled all over to attend Pow Wows.   She was fun-loving and had a great sense of humor, always making others laugh, and was never afraid to speak her mind.  
    She loved her children and grandchildren.  She was very much loved by all and will be greatly missed.
    Samantha is survived by her children, Asay (Jaynia) Mart; Brandon (Clarienda) Cuch-Brock; Phillip Welsh; Tiffanie (Lon) Hackford; James (Jerilynn) Starr; 15 grandchildren with one on the way; grandmother, Ina Jane Nephi; siblings, Kevin Reed-Taveapont; Frank (Melissa) Taveapont, Jr., Kayleena (Jorge) Cornpeach, Chaos Taveapont, Riot Taveapont, Lucif Ramiaz; uncle, Franklyn Taveapont; aunt, Berdina Taveapont; grandparents, Don & Roseline Taveapont; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by her son, Tresson Nez; sisters, Anna Marie Bush; Neiko Nephi; parents, Samuel & Eldora; grandparents, Sam & Mabel Bush, and Reid & Marie Taveapont; aunts, Floradena Taveapont, Pansy Nephi, Lynette Taveapont, and Lalisa Taveapont; uncle, Clifford Cornpeach,.  
    Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at her home in Whiterocks, 11684 N Whiterocks Highway.  She will be taken to her home for a wake on Saturday, March 18th, at 3:00 p.m.
    Burial will be in the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery.
