Rosemary Larson, age 82, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on March 4, 2026, in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by those that loved her the most.
She was born on December 20, 1943, in Hominy, Oklahoma, to Jimmie and Neva (Atkinson) Smith.
Rosemary graduated from Union High School in 1962. That same year she married Howard Eskelson, and together they welcomed two daughters, Vicki and Connie. Howard later passed away. On May 31, 1971, Rosemary married Verl Larson in Elko, Nevada. Together they welcomed a daughter, Michelle Larson.
Rosemary was compassionate, loved deeply, and was known for her incredible work ethic. She believed strongly in doing your best and carried that expectation throughout her life. Above all, her greatest joy was her grandchildren. No matter the circumstances—good, bad, or difficult—she loved them unconditionally, supported them wholeheartedly, and always stood by their side.
As the oldest child in her family, Rosemary shared a special bond with her siblings and often told wonderful stories about their early years together. Those memories and her storytelling were cherished by everyone who heard them.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Larson; grandsons, Michael Knowlton, Christopher Knowlton, Charles Craft, Joshua (Amanda) Craft, and “her boy,” Zackary Dellinger; great grandkids, Juno Knowlton, Gunner Knowlton, Izabella and Jacobie Craft; Kimberly, Daniel, Justin, and Phoenix Knowlton; sisters Jammie (Burke) Lindsay, Kathy Smith, and Kriss (Mike) Kofford; her dear friend, Duane Peery; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved immensely.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Verl Larson; her parents, Jimmie and Neva Smith; her brothers, Raymond, Roger, and Logan Smith; her sister, Cheryl Hatch; her daughters, Vicki Craft and Connie Knowlton; her granddaughters, Heather Craft and Kristina Knowlton; and her grandson, Nicholas Knowlton; son in laws, Chuck Craft and Gerald Knowlton.Rosemary will be remembered for her strength, loyalty, and the deep love she had for her family.
Her presence will be greatly missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah. A public viewing will be held that morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral services from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. An additional public viewing will be held the evening prior, Tuesday, March 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
