Ronald Muir

    Ronald M. Muir, age 74, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all, passed away March 22, 2018 in Corvallis, Oregon of a tired, loving heart.
    Ron was born in Heber City, Utah on January 9, 1944 to Alden W. and Mildred Young-Muir, and lived most of his life in Fruitland, Utah. On August 14, 1965 he married his sweetheart Florence Bates-Muir, later solemnized in the LDS Temple.
    He worked as a logger in his early years, in construction, and then carried the position as a superintendent in the oilfield for the rest of his career. After retirement, Ron and Florence established and managed Muir’s Smokehouse, the best jerky factory and home cooked food you would ever eat.
    They shared 53 wonderful years together and had four children, Curtis
(Allyson) Muir, Judy (Mike) Wilkerson, Jonathan Muir, and Robbie (Angie) Coonis. They have been blessed with 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Duchesne LDS Stake Center.  Viewings will be held at the church on Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
    Burial in the Strawberry Cemetery.
