Ronald Basham

    Ronald Gene Basham, age 82, of Roosevelt, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
    Ron was born June 2, 1944, in Pueblo, Colorado to Coleman Robert Shifflet and Ardithe Nadine Clinton.  He married Debra Ann Markey on May 17, 1974.  She died June 28, 2022.
    Ron loved to drive and drove truck in the oil field for many years.  He enjoyed collecting knives, and spending time in the mountains, hunting and fishing.
    He is survived by his children, Terrence “Ty” (Karri) Basham, Weldon Raines, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and his siblings, Diana Hadlock, Pam (Monty) Boone, Cody (Beverly) Shifflet, and Lowell (Gwen) Shifflet.
    He is preceded in death by his wife Debra, daughter Soraya Wyasket, and numerous brothers, sisters and other relatives.
    Per his wishes he will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on July 11, 2026 at the Constitution Park in Roosevelt from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
    His cremated remains will be buried with his wife in the Roosevelt Memorial Park at a later date.
