Rodney Higbee, Jr

Rodney Clark Higbee, Jr., age 34 of Mt. Emmons, was killed August 30, 2015, in an automobile accident near Green River, Utah.
He was born November 25, 1980, in Salt Lake City, to Rodney Clark Higbee Sr and Margaret Jean Labrum Clauson. He married Andrea Arnold on July 1, 2000, and they later divorced.
Rod loved playing bass guitar in his bands, the Kryptic Void and Seeds of Anger. They played their hard rock in fund raisers all over the community. He and his cousins were together all of the time - camping, sleigh riding, river rafting, or whatever. He was a huge jokester and had a great sense of humor. He had the biggest heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He had been overcoming some "bumpy roads" but he, said, "God doesn't care what you were, God only cares about who you are now."
His son, mother, grandpa, and brothers were extremely important to him and he loved everyone. He was forgiving and didn't hold a grudge. Days before his death, he had a light that radiated from him and touched everyone. He's truly one of God's chosen, and found his way home. TILL WE SEE YOU AGAIN.
Rod is survived by his son, Kadence Clark Higbee, Salt Lake City; mother, Jean (Alan) Clauson, Mt. Emmons; father, Rodney Clark Higbee, Sr., Salt Lake City; brothers, Matt (Becky), Arcadia; Andy, Mt. Emmons; Inon (Liz), LaPoint; sister, Shantelle, Salt Lake City; step-brothers, Steven, Salt Lake City, Joey (Teressa), Duchesne; grandfather, James (Adele Brewer) Labrum, Upalco; many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by step-father, Ed Matkin, grandmothers Carol Labrum and Martha Higbee, grandfather, Ken Higbee, cousins Billy Walton and Nathan Labrum.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hullinger Mortuary. There will be a visitation prior to the services beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the Upalco Cemetery.
