Robert Gerald Reyos, age 72, died July 11, 2015 at the UBMC from various health conditions.
Born November 15, 1942 in Las Vegas, NV to the late Paul and Anita Reed Reyos. He graduated from Alterra High School.
Upon completion he joined the military. Serving in the USMC and then the Army. With two tours in Vietnam ending when he was severely injured, allowing him to receive a purple heart and honorable discharge. He was honored in becoming a member of the Red Feather Society, a Native American Veteran's highest honor society.
He previously worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, for 25 years, where he started his career as a emergency fire fighter on the Uintah and Ouray fire crews. He was promoted to a Fire Management Officer when he ended his career. He then continued his work in the oilfield, for various oilfield companies until he retired.
He enjoyed, the outdoors, hunting, traveling, sports, being around his family, supporting his grandchildren in their various activities and next to the Denver Broncos he enjoyed most of all the CASINOS.
Robert is survived by daughters: Lelilah Ossie Duncan, Kelly Dawn Reyos, Echo DeVoe Reyos (Scott Cesspooch Jr), 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, siblings, Paul D Reyos, Kenny Reyos, Allen Reyos, Alex Reyos, Anthony "Nino" Reyos, Linda Kelly, Paulette Reyos and Kay R. Black
Proceeded in death sons, Barry Reyos, John Duncan Reyos, daughter, Elizabeth Ann Reyos, siblings, Annette Pike, Glenda Terry and Ricky Reyos.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the Reed Cemetery.
Military honors were presented by the American Legion Post #126 and the Utah National Guard.
