Robert Chuck “Chuckie” Evans, age 55, of Roosevelt, passed away October 12, 2023, at his home.
Chuckie’s journey began April 29, 1968, in Murray, Utah, as the cherished son to Robert M and Barbara Ann Larsen Evans, along with his beloved sister, Angie.  When he was three, he began school for special needs children at Primary Children’s Hospital. He attended Bingham High School until he graduated at age 21. One of the defining chapters of Chuckie's life was his service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the Jordan River Temple. His commitment to serving others and his faith shone brightly during this time. He lived his younger years in Riverton and worked at Deseret Industries, until 1995, when Chuckie and his parents moved to a farm in Cedarview to be closer to his sister and her family.  He spent the last five years living in Vernal at a group home- which he called “college”- with his Ponderosa crew. But visited home often for sleep overs and Holidays.
Chuckie was a big tease, the biggest flirt, and had many “girlfriends.”  His absolute favorite holiday was Halloween and he planned what costume he would wear a year in advance-- and asked what everyone else was going to wear all year long.  In his younger days he won many gold medals at the Special Olympics in Track & Field and Bocce, and was a good bowler.  His favorite things were Pepsi, Pecan Sandies, singing to the soundtrack from Grease, dancing to Cindy Lauper, Christmas lights and knowing everything about the Brady Bunch –  feeding the cows and working were not on that list!
Family meant the world to Chuckie, and he cherished his special bond with his nieces and nephews. His love for them was immeasurable. His passing has left a deep void, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Chuckie is survived by his mother, Barbara Evans, Roosevelt; sister, Angie (Rocky) Wills, Roosevelt; nieces and nephews, Colton (Rachel) Wills, Chett Wills, Chellie (Shane) Lamb, and seven great-nieces &-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Evans.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt 2nd Ward Chapel (250 W 200 N) with a viewing before at 10-10:45 a.m.
There will be a viewing/Chuckie’s Halloween Celebration on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary. Feel free to wear your Halloween best!
Burial will be in the Cedarview Cemetery.
