Revella Daniels, age 87, of Altonah, passed away August 23, 2024, at her home.
She was born April 21, 1937, in Mt. Emmons, Utah, to Peter and Lucelle Mower Wall, the sixth child of ten.
She married Lewis Daniels on December 10, 1954 in Mt. Emmons. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 10, 1966. He died February 4, 2014.
Revella’s greatest joy, besides her family, was cooking. Her cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies, popcorn balls that were given out at Halloween, and her Christmas candy sent to all of the family were legendary. She also enjoyed canning, gardening, and trying new things – at least once. Reunions with her family, especially the Daniels siblings, were her favorite times and at every gathering she made sure everyone had plenty to eat. She loved to go camping and hunting with her Wall family to Avintaquin, and fishing and hunting with her husband to Weaver and Lake Towave. She had an adventurous spirit and her traveling took her to many places around the world, including Antarctica when she was in her late 70's.
Revella was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various callings throughout the years. Because she didn’t graduate from High School at the usual time, she went back when her children were in school and received her diploma just before her oldest child did. She was a constant care-giver and made her home across from her parents so that she could help them throughout their lives. She was an amazing woman who will be deeply missed.
Revella is survived by her children, Donna (Brent) Davis, Price, Utah; Linda (Tom) Guy, Snyder, Texas; Steven (Stephanie) Daniels, Elko, Nevada; Michael Daniels, Altamont, Utah, Thyrena (Joe) Burdick, Roosevelt; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Cecil (Chris) Wall, St. George; Dora (Paul) Andrews, Vernal; Billy (JoAnn) Wall, St. George; JoAnn (Don) Peterson, Riverton; and numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; a grandson, Corbin Burdick; siblings, Coleen Kerr, Emma Jean Thacker, Clifton Wall, Jackie Wall, Kay Wall; great-grandchildren, Estelle Martinez & Madeline Hamilton, and a son-in-law, Scott Mathews.
