Raymond Taveapont

    Raymond Lee Taveapont, age 62, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away May 7, 2023 at the Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Utah.
    Ray was born May 19, 1960 in Roosevelt, Utah to Ray and Carrie Chase Thompson Taveapont.  He was raised by his grandfather, Doliver Pigeon.
    Ray had a very kind heart, he never passed a car with someone who was stranded on the side of the road, and delighted in helping others.  He loved the mountains, fishing, cars, camping, going on rides and going to BBQ’s with his family.  He enjoyed attending the Pow Wow and Sundance.  He loved his family and cherished each of them.  Thank you to Heather Manning, and Cody Thompson who helped to take care of him.
    He is survived by his siblings, Catherine (Earl, Sr.) Manning, Don (Rosaline) Taveapont, Jane Steele, Nancy Taveapont-Thompson, Vivian Bedonie, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Wilbur. 
    He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Sonya Wopsock, Ingrid Wopsock, Rosemary Thompson, Rita Summers, Patricia Taveapont, Frankie Taveapont, Lynn Taveapont, Reed Taveapont and his grandfather, Doliver Pigeon.
    Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the John Harmes Cemetery.
