Jennie Veve “Peggy” Gray McArthur, age 90, of Roosevelt, died on November 14, 2022, returning home to our Heavenly Father and her loving husband, Jack.
Peggy was born on July 24, 1932, in Maeser, Utah, to Samuel and Jennie May Jones Gray, of Vernal. She married John Reese “Jack” McArthur on December 17, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Peggy and Jack raised five children: Gregory, Michael, Sherry, Don, and Kristi. On February 14, 1964, Peggy and Jack took their children to Salt Lake where they were sealed in the temple. Jack died August 17, 2011.
Peggy was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many callings throughout the years. She was a beautiful seamstress, sewing mostly all of the children’s clothes when they were younger. She made quilts for family and friends. She worked in the Duchesne County School District lunchrooms for 25 years.
Peggy is survived by her brother, Lowell; children, Gregory, Sherry, Don, and Kristi; 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Jack, son, Michael, son-in-law, James Moser, her parents, siblings, Melvon, Marcell, Elna Winward, and Nelda Cook.
Graveside services for Peggy McArthur, age 90, of Roosevelt, will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
A visitation will be held at the Hullinger on Friday from 11:00 - 12:45.
