      Pauline Redcap Appawora Ignacio, age 86, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away February 12, 2022, at the Utah Valley Hospital.
    She was born April 2, 1935, in Ft. Duchesne, to James Redcap and Dolly Watanah.  She married Alfred Checora Sr., and he later died.  She married Jimmy Doolittle Cuch, and they later divorced.  She married Ronald Ignacio, and they later divorced. 
    Pauline really enjoyed traveling, especially to Wendover and Las Vegas to play bingo.  She was very kind-hearted, loved children, and her favorite thing was being with her family for birthdays and other get-togethers.  She also liked to listen to Bear Dance and Pow Wow music.
    Pauline is survived by her daughter, Sharrane Cuch, Ft. Duchesne; grandchildren, Alanna Jim, Alred Scott Checora, III; brothers and sisters, Angela (Dale) Shavanaux, Pauline Black, Latisha Keyannie, Zelda Murray, Gardenia Murray, Ephraim Pawwinnee and numerous nieces and nephews.  
    She was preceded in death by her son, Alfred Scott Checora, Jr.; parents; brothers and sisters, Rupert & Jimmy Redcap; Ramon & William Appawora; and Zina Starr; grandsons, Sylvester, Isaac, Roscoe, and Isaiah Checora; granddaughter, Filena Duncan; and great-grandchildren, Shawn & Narsall Checora.  
    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Duchesne Community Building.  There will be a wake at her home in La Mesa on Wednesday after 4:00 p.m.
    Burial will be in the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery.
