Patsy Lee Atwood Patry age 78 passed away June 8, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Pat was born January 20, 1942 to Mary Lavina Owens Cottrell and Albert Atwood in Vernal, Utah she was born on a bear rug.
 Pat grew up for a time in Vernal but attended and graduated from high school in Tatum, New Mexico where she was known as a quite an athlete.  She married Max James Patry on March 11, 1965 in Lovington, New Mexico. Together they had 5 children Lavina Lynn, John Robert (Bub), Timothy Charles, James Ralph and Lisa Hall.
Pat’s greatest joy and happiness came from serving her family.  She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. It has been said that if you looked in the dictionary for the definition of “Grandma” there would be a picture of Pat.  She always put her family first and loved them unconditionally.
In her younger years Pat enjoyed going to Rodeo’s with Max and was known to be a rodeo clown and bull fighter.  She also participated in the Uintah Basin Riders, Riding Club something that was a great past time to her.   Pat worked very hard with Max on the family farm, the cattle drives to Dry Gulch were an activity that she enjoyed.   Pat also worked as a nurse at the old Roosevelt hospital.

Pat is survived by her husband of 55 years, sons Tim & Jimmy (Lisa) Roosevelt and daughter Lisa Hall of Salt Lake City. Grandchildren April, Derek, Tysen, Skyler, John, Levi, Crystal, Tiffany, Brooke and Andy -35 great grandchildren and many honorary grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved them all!
Brother Allen Atwood, Sisters Tami and Debbie. Sister in law Alyce Miller.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, son John Robert, daughter Lavina Lynn and granddaughter Rachel. Brothers Bud, Ronald, Michael and Dick. Sisters Sherry and Cathy.
Per her wishes there will be no service at this time Pat’s remains will be cremated and put to rest at a later date.
The family would like Thank her granddaughter April for the loving care that she gave to grandma, and her nurses Amanda Goodwin and Chris Livingston.
