Norma Schneider Bell, age 85, of Roosevelt, started her new journey on June 28, 2026, from the Uintah Basin Senior Villa, holding hands with loved ones by her side.
She was born August 31, 1940, in Salem, Idaho, to Joseph Burdett and Luella Buffus Schneider, the last of five children. She enjoyed sewing for 4-H and won blue & red ribbons for aprons and skirts she made. She sewed many aprons and pants later in life as well. The family moved from the Clinton Farm to Clearfield in 1955, where she graduated from David High School in 1958.
Norma married Daniel Bell in 1964. They moved all over Utah, with their four children, two boys and two girls. In 1978, her husband left, and they filed for divorce in 1983. During that time she met Ruth Haslem, who became a dear friend that helped her with her family. She lived in Clearfield and Ogden and moved to Roosevelt in 1996.
Norma enjoyed canning her fruit, making the best apricot juice. She also loved family picnics, visiting with family, playing games and puzzles. She had a hard life but she gave it her all and lived it like a champion. She was a strong, loving mother.
Norma is survived by her children, Virginia (Randall) Keel, Ft. Duchesne; Larry (Denise) Bell, Grand Junction, CO; Cathy Bell Williams, Butte, MT; grandchildren, Rayus (Danyell) Keel, Melissa Keel, Jacob (Ashley) Keel, Jesse Keel, Rickesha (Robert) Johnson, Desiree (Caleb) Bright, Paige Farnsworth, Joseph Farnsworth, Hailey (Carter) Winterton, Maddy Alex Bell, Daxton Williams; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Karleene Schneider; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
