Nathan John Genereaux, Jr., age 67, of Roosevelt, passed away April 1, 2026, just a few short months after his wife, Florenda.
He was born January 7, 1959, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Nathan Genereaux, Sr. and Winona Nambadoah. He married Florenda Keel on January 6, 1978, in Roosevelt. She died January 6, 2026. In his younger days, he was an avid rollerskater and was even a “rink marshal” – making sure people were being safe and keeping the rules.
Nathan was a talented beadworker and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, black coffee, and cigarettes. He was a big jokester and was known as the “Neighborhood Do Gooder” because he took care of many of the widows’ yards who lived near him and in the area. He really liked coaching wrestling and other sports with his brother-in-law and close friend, Rick Jeppsen. He loved his grandkids and enjoyed taking them to get ice cream.
He was of the Eastern Shoshone Native American tribe and was very proud of his culture and traditions.
Nathan is survived by his children, Lane (Kristin) Genereaux, Duchesne; Danyiel (Jeremy) Hunt, Cedarview; Chuck Genereaux (Asia Northern), Altamont; grandchildren, Madison Duncan; Scott, Skyler, & Lanee Meacham; Chase & Chance Hunt; Lexie & Acyx Genereaux, with one on the way; great-grandchildren, Rue O’brian, River White, Amirillo Hunt; siblings, Thelma (Mel) Sather, WY; Mary Kane, WY; Lela (Tony) Bell, WY; brothers- and sisters- in law, Connie (Steven) Clayburn, Bridgeland; Glenda (Rick) Jeppsen, Roosevelt; John (Jackie) Keel, Neola; Cherry Keel, TX; Neldon Anderson, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florenda; his parents; and siblings, Glenda Trosper, Ellen Serawop, Dillan Serawop, & JT Trosper.
