Nadine Wymer Zager Larsen, age 87, of Neola, Utah, returned to her loving Heavenly Father on February 25, 2024, due to complications of heart and kidney failure.
She was born June 22, 1936, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to James Anderson and Anna Caroline Davis Wymer.. She was the second of six children. She loved and cared about her siblings.
Nadine married Loyd M. Zager on September 23, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, where he was serving in the Air Force. They lived in several different states. When he was discharged from the service they moved to Neola, where they made their home and raised their 5 children. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. He passed away October 31, 1992, at the University of Utah Hospital.
She later married Gordon Jay Larsen on December 12, 2000. She met him while they were both serving in the Vernal Utah Temple. They were serving there together when they decided to go on a mission. They were called to the Florida Key West Mission. After returning home they continued to serve in the temple for another 15 years. Nadine enjoyed sewing and taught all of her daughters to sew, and hosted many quilting bees in her home for sisters of the ward. She tried crafts of all kinds, was a good cook, and shared many meals with those in need. Her hands were always busy embroidering many beautiful pillow cases. She insisted on having a clean home and taught each child to clean and learn homemaking skills.
She cherished her membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many callings throughout her life, fulfilling each one to the fullest. She had a strong and unwavering testimony. She especially loved working in the Relief Society and serving the sisters. The highlight of her life was serving in the Temple. Her greatest blessing was her family.
She leaves a beautiful legacy and touched many hearts and gave freely of her possessions. Her kindness and compassion were immeasurable and she will forever be missed.
Nadine is survived by her husband, Gordon, Neola; children, Loidene and Ray Natani, Tridell; Ervin and Sandy Zager, Neola; Sheril and Stewart Olsen, Neola; Lory and Rod Olsen, Neola; B.J. and Dena Zager, Neola; Grant and Eileen Larsen, Arizona; Scott and Erin Larsen, Texas; and Cindy Larsen, Logan; siblings, Richard and Diane Wymer, Roosevelt; Willis and Helen Wymer, Roosevelt; brother-in-law, Harvey Marsden, California; and sister-in-law, Rae Zager, Washington State.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd, siblings, Darrel Wymer, Janice Marsden, Julie Wymer, and son, Bryan Larsen.
Funeral services will be held on Monday. March 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Neola Chapel. A viewing will be held that morning from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.
Burial in the Neola Cemetery.
