    Myrna Consuelo Morton, age 84, of Roosevelt, passed away June 19, 2025, at her home.
    She was born on May 15, 1941, in Salt Lake City, to Nicolas Crispin and Juana Dias Lopez.
    On February 10, 1962, Myrna married the love of her life, Kenneth Bywater Morton, in Salt Lake City, Utah, he passed April 27, 2025.  They had one child. Kenneth “KC” who passed December 7, 2020.
    Myrna was an entrepreneur. She was an excellent seamstress and with that skill she worked for high-end designers in the Salt Lake City area and then opened her own drapery business. Later, she worked as an educator, teaching English to young ESL students. She especially enjoyed spreading her love of reading to her students. Myrna was a great cook, traditional Mexican cuisine being her specialty. She took pride in all that she did. The pride she had for her sewing, cooking and family showed in how Myrna expressed herself and spoke to others. Myrna stood as a pillar for her family, she showed what it was to express the love you have for one another and how to enjoy the time that you had together.
    Myrna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her faith was very important to her. She served for many years as a Scout leader and then as an ordinance worker in the Temple. She loved her family and would drop everything if they were in need. After her retirement, she helped raise her great-grandchildren.
    Myrna is survived by her four grandchildren, Misty (Clay) Ivie, Shad Prisbrey, Leon (Kenna) Morton, and Lanita Morton (Tim Johnson); seven great-grandchildren, Braxton, MacKenzie, Payton, Cali, Cadence, Corvin, and Donovan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her son, Kenneth Clint “KC” Morton; her parents: Crespin and Juana Lopez; her 11 siblings: Antonio, Thomas, Isabella-Chivelo, Lucia, Fredrico, Tomasito, Maria, Ricarda, George, Manuel, Estaban “Steven” and Myrna was the youngest.
    Thank you grandma for giving without a second thought and passing on to your family the ability to love and invite all to the table  - “We Love You!”
    Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery (2350 E 1300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84108). There will be a viewing for family and friends on Thursday from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary in Roosevelt, Utah.C

Luncheon will follow graveside services at 14292 Lomis Parkway, Bluffdalle, Utah.
