Mitchell Lynn Farnsworth, 34, passed away on March 14, 2026.

He was born on September 12, 1991, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Mark and Holly Mitchell Farnsworth.

From the very beginning, Mitchell was a free spirit—never one to conform to societal expectations, but instead someone who carved his own path with confidence, conviction, and heart. He was fiercely loyal, often to a fault, and stood as an ambassador for anyone—big or small—facing life’s hardest moments. If someone needed help, Mitchell was there, offering not only support but strength, compassion, and unwavering presence. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back without hesitation.

Mitchell was a pillar of strength in every sense of the word. Even in his own struggles, he always found a way to lift others up. His life was not without hardship—he lived hard and fast—but in doing so, he built a depth of character and resilience that became a guiding light for so many.

He graduated high school and even completed schooling in interior design, but his talents stretched far beyond any single path. Mitchell was truly a jack of all trades, with extensive experience in the oil field, heavy equipment operation, roofing, metalwork, welding, mining, construction, multi-level marketing, and entrepreneurship. His life was an ongoing adventure, and he embraced every opportunity to learn, build, and grow.

In February 2026, Mitchell celebrated 8 years clean and sober—a milestone that reflected one of the most powerful transformations of his life. When he made the choice to walk that path, he may not have realized the profound impact it would have—not only on himself, but on countless others. He became a beacon of hope, inspiration, and steadiness for those navigating similar journeys. Mitchell made himself accountable, aware, present, and available—not just for his own growth, but for the healing of others. He became a true advocate and liaison for recovery, sobriety, and the community that surrounds it.

Mitchell lived fast, loved deeply, and felt everything with intensity and authenticity. He possessed a natural talent in anything he set his mind to, and he found joy in both the program he loved and the entrepreneurial spirit that drove him.

Born and raised in the Uintah Basin, Mitchell lived throughout the United States for work before settling in the Heber Valley in 2020. There, he found a place to call home and built meaningful connections, including his work with Chet and Brent of Rosehill Excavation and Xtreme Custom Homes.

Though he had no children of his own, Mitchell was an extraordinary uncle—devoted, present, and deeply connected to each of his nieces and nephews in his own special way. He was also a proud and loving father to his dog, Jasper.

In 2024, Mitchell met his girlfriend, HayLee, at a local bakery—an encounter that would grow into a meaningful and cherished relationship.

Mitchell shared an unbreakable bond with his cousin Don. They were more than family—they were best friends, coworkers, housemates, brothers, and soulmates in a way that words can hardly capture. They were inseparable, always there for one another through every high and low. With their passing, the world feels quieter, touched by a stillness left in their absence. Yet, those who love them find comfort in believing that their reach and ability to help others has only expanded beyond this earthly life.

Mitchell will be remembered for his strength, his generosity, his fierce love, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

As Mitch would say: “We love you more than this world, more than all the molecules in the universe.”

Mitchell is survived by his mother, Holly Farnsworth; girlfriend, Haylee Young; siblings, Shasta Farnsworth, Gusher; Tyler (Lindsay) Farnsworth, Heber; Sarah (Casey) Bird, Ioka; nieces and nephews, Hayven, Preston, Darby, Vivienne, & Sullivan Farnsworth; Dylan, Gage, Arzy; fur babies, “Sully,” “Tala,” “Anastasia,” & “Moose.”

He was preceded in death by his father, Mark; dog, “Jasper;” cousin, Landon Peatross; his “partner in crime,” his cousin, Don Herbert, who died with him in the accident.
