Mike Goddard

        Mike Goddard, age 69, of Fruitland, passed away February 24, 2022 at his home, peacefully in his sleep.
    He was born October 11, 1952, in Salt Lake City to Norman and Rea Goddard.
    He was a very hard worker and his passion was driving Semi Trucks. He spent his life working at Allied, Ames Construction and retired from South Town Expo Center. He was known to many as "Big Mike" and he was loved by everyone who knew him. 
    He loved being at The Property with his wife Debbie of 50 years and spending as much time as he could hunting and fishing.  Their dream was to retire and move to their property in Fruitland, and thankfully they were able to make that dream come true.
    He also loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and of course being a total smart ass, all the time. He was an amazing handyman and could fix anything or as we called it "Mikey-ize" it.
    Mike is survived by his wife, Debbie, his son, Shane (Jess), his daughters, Shanna (Bob) Shelbie (Bart);grandchildren, Brittany, Trista, Jaydin, Dillon, Josh; great grandson, Tobias; siblings, Pat (Tina), Christy (Paul), Steve (Belinda) and Cheri. 
    He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rea and Norm Goddard; his mother and father-in-law Shirley and Jim Peterson. Now they are reunited and enjoying the great outdoors together again.
    Mike had many friends and family that loved him very much. He will be greatly missed by all. 
    Mike’s last ride will take place from Noon to 1:00 pm, on April 2, 2022.  His ashes will be carried in the Semi that will be leading a small convoy of Semi trucks, for his last ride around the Salt Lake Valley.  Once his last ride is complete, we will be having his Celebration of Life from 1:00 to 5:00pm. He didn’t want a traditional service, so instead we will be sharing pictures of his life.  It will be held at the Mountain America Expo Center, Room 200C/D; 9575 S. State Street, Sandy, Utah.
