Michael Franklin Huff, age 67, of Mountain Home, passed away on February 9, 2026.

Mike was born in Roosevelt, Utah to Wilbur and Pauline Black on April 18, 1958.

Michael was adopted by Gerald and Glenna Huff before he was a year old, and was raised by the Huffs. Mike was raised in Vernal, Utah and graduated from Uintah High School. After graduation, Mike started working in the oilfield and has worked in many positions in the oilfield from drilling rigs, to workover rigs, to a pumper, to roustabout hand, and construction foreman. Mike currently worked at BRY Petroleum as the construction foreman. Mike loved the people he worked with and the work he did, that was the reason he went to work every day at 4 a.m. Mike was never afraid to work and loved to be out in the field working with his crews. His 48 years of oilfield experience has led to some of Mike's most memorable experiences and cherished friendships.

Mike enjoyed camping in the Book Cliffs. He also loved hunting coyotes with his family and friends. Mike was an avid reloader and he enjoyed building rifles and setting them up with his sons and grandchildren. Mike was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings.

For years, Mike enjoyed playing softball on various teams, and watching his family play softball and baseball, and any sport activity his grandchildren were involved in. Mike's greatest possession in this world was his family and he made sure every one of his family knew it. Mike loved spending time with the love of his life and best friend, Rachel. They were married on August 21, 1992 and later sealed in the Vernal Temple. Mike was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and believes in Eternal Families!

Mike's contagious, fun loving smile and personality will be missed every day, especially by those closest to him! One of Mike's greatest attributes was his love for life, and his ability to befriend all he met. Mike cherished people, and valued them!

Mike is survived by his mother, Glenna Hanson Huff; wife, Rachel Postma Huff; biological mother, Pauline Black; sons, Chris and Natalia Huff, Andrew and McKayla Huff, daughters, Tori and Jake Dedrick, Jennifer Huff, Mechele Huff, Melissa Patton; sisters, Helen (Syd) Henderson, Janeal Witbeck; mohter-in-law, Thelma Jean Postma; many brother and sister-in-laws, and countless family members remembered but not all mentioned.
