Melissa Lee Lindsay, age 54, of St. George, passed away February 9, 2026, at her home.
Melissa was born June 1, 1971, in Roosevelt, Utah, to George Lindsay and Shauna Liddell. Melissa lived a life marked by kindness, curiosity, and a genuine love for others. Tenderhearted, compassionate, and deeply empathetic, she had a rare gift for connection. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and, within moments, make them feel seen, heard, and valued. Her warmth drew people to her naturally, and many were blessed to call her a friend. She was a beautiful soul, inside and out, whose gentle spirit and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She had a deep love for animals, who seemed to sense her kindness. Her beloved dog, Link, and her cherished cat, Callie, were constant companions and brought her great comfort and joy.
Melissa possessed a sharp and inquisitive mind. She was endlessly curious and could often be found researching a new topic or exploring ideas that captured her interest. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed crafting healing crystal necklaces and bracelets, thoughtfully designing pieces she hoped would bring comfort and positivity to others. She also loved spending time outdoors searching for unique and beautiful rocks-always delighted by discovering something "cool" to add to her collection. Her appreciation for nature reflected her thoughtful and reflective heart.
Melissa is survived by her brother, Jordan G. Lindsay of Roosevelt; her sister, Karen Christensen of Meridian, Idaho; her niece, Tanesha Benson; and her nephews, Corbin, Cutler, and Clayton Christensen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Shauna; her grandparents, Frank and Margarite Liddell, and Guy and Dolly Lindsay; and her beloved great-uncle, Don Liddell.
To celebrate her life and the many ways she touched the hearts of those who knew and loved her a memorial service will be held on May 30, 2026, at the Mountain Home-Bonita cemetery in Mountain Home Utah. Additional details will be published at a later date.
"What happens if I lose you?" I asked. "We are forever," she replied, "even if I'm not here."
