PLEASE NOTE: This obituary is being placed on our website as a courtesy to the family.  The Hullinger Mortuary is not handling any part of these services.

Max Nelson Redmond was born in Roosevelt, UT on August 21, 1954 to Walt and Urania Redmond. He passed away November 21, 2023 in Jefferson, Texas at a nursing facility, he had dementia that took him very aggressively.

Max married Pamela Rushing on May 9, 1979 in Elko, Nevada. Together they raised their children: daughter, Tangela Gilbert, whom he raised from the age of two; and son, Aarnon Lee Redmond. They had six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Max worked in various occupations, starting with industrial painting to oil field work. He was a conveyor belt operator on the Rock Creek Dam. Then he was hired at Central Machine as a machinist, where he eventually became a partner in the company. Max provided well for his family, before he retired from the Machine Shop. They bought a vacation rental in Sedona, Arizona, where they eventually moved, and built a house and took care of the rental for about ten years. They sold everything, then moved to East Texas and bought a 200-acre cattle ranch in April of 2021. Max never really intended to retire. He lived life to the fullest. Max loved the ranch, it was a dream come true, but short lived.

Max is survived by his wife Pamela; children, Tangela (John) Gilbert and Aarnon (Stacy) Redmond; grandchildren, Hope Lorren, Courtney Ackermann (Austin), Josiah Gilbert, Treven Redmond, Collin, Jaxon Redmond; great-grandchildren, Nicole Raine Kemp, Tiffany Gilbert, Easton, Oaklynn and Hadley Ackermann; sisters and brother, Jean Musselman, Nancy (Lloyd) Miles, Dan (Margie) Redmond, Pat Redmond and Beth Redmond.

Max was preceded in death by his parents, Walt and Urania Redmond.
