The strongest lady we ever knew, Marsha Oleen, age 70, of Neola, Utah passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021.  She was born December 9, 1950 in Roosevelt, UT.
She will be remembered by her children, grandchildren, and everyone who knew her as a fun-loving, witty and vivacious individual and a fiercely loyal friend and devoted mother and grandmother.
She grew up in the Uintah Basin and loved living in the mountains and valleys of the intermountain west.  She was a proud member of the Uintah High School class of 1969 and treasured her life long friendships with her many friends and acquaintances from school. Marsha enjoyed people and loved pretty much everyone.  She was very close to her dad, Ted Phillips, and was the best daughter and niece anyone could ask for and was a good friend to and took excellent care of her mother, Freda Phillips and Freda’s sister, Mae Oberhansley.
Marsha’s greatest passion in life was supporting her children and grandchildren in all their sports, academics, extracurricular and musical events. She never missed a ball game, competition, or concert and was often the loudest cheering (or jeering if you were an umpire) voice in the crowd. She was involved in the Vernal Youth Football league, coached softball and helped out anywhere needed at the ballpark.
She loved camping and riding horses in the High Uintas and the Bookcliffs while spending time with family hunting, fishing, and participating in trail rides. In fact, she met the love of her life, Alan Oleen, during a deer hunt in the Bookcliffs. They were married February 26, 1972.  He died March 22, 2009.  Alan and Marsha built a beautiful life together and had so much fun with many friends and family. Marsha graduated from Utah State University in 1996 with her BS in Social Work and spent her career working with individuals and young adults with special needs.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was sealed to her sweetheart, Alan, in the Vernal, Utah Temple in 2005. They moved to Hayden in 2003 and thoroughly enjoyed life and attending church at the Whiterocks Branch. Marsha enjoyed researching family history and was very proud of the work she had done compiling her family history stories.
She loved a good visit or card game, nature, most animals, sitting on the deck amongst her flowers, the beautiful view from her home and a good sunrise and sunset.

She was dedicated to her family to the very end and was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Freda Phillips, her brother, Fred Phillips(Sybil), sister, Cathy Jean Phillips and her beloved aunt, Mae Oberhansley(Emerson) as well as the rest of her aunts, uncles and grandparents
She is survived by her children, Garrett Oleen (Deanna) of Round Rock, TX; Jennifer Rook (Kolby), and Grizz Oleen (Cynthia) both of Neola, UT; sisters, Brandy Wager (Josh) of Duchesne; and Vikki Phillips of Vernal; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren who affectionately called her “Narsh” and many nieces and nephews. Her warm, loving friendship will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 at 11:00AM at the Neola Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Friends and family may call Friday at 9:30AM prior to the services at the chapel.
Interment will take place at the Hayden Cemetery.
