Margaret Olson Williams

    Margaret Olson Williams, age 96, of Roosevelt, Utah, passed away November 16, 2025, at the Uintah Basin Senior Villa.
    Margaret was born July 7, 1929, in Evanston, Wyoming, to John Kent and Sara Frances Harris Olson. Margaret loved growing up on the Circle Bar Ranch, west of Manila, where she enjoyed hiking, camping, ranching, and horseback riding. In 1949, she began teaching school in McKinnon, Wyoming, and on October 7, 1949, she married her dear companion, Owen Blair Williams, in the Salt Lake Temple. Margaret and Blair raised a large family together in California and Utah, and loved having the family gather at their ranch near Roosevelt. Margaret’s children and grandchildren have fond memories of spending time with her riding horses, baking cookies, singing around the piano, and learning to work hard.
    Margaret was devoted to her Savior, Jesus Christ, and gave many hours of service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including fulfilling callings as Relief Society President and Young Women’s President. She was a wonderful teacher and loved to work in the temple. In her later years she served two full-time missions in Mexico City and Guatemala City. 
    Margaret was vivacious, talented, generous and dearly loved. Her family wishes to thank the loving staff at the Uintah Basin Senior Villa for their dedicated care and service in her last years.
    Margaret is survived by her children, Jeffery (Sheila) Williams, Roosevelt; Forrest (Jenni) Williams, Tracy, California; Mark (Linda) Williams, San Jose, California; Linda (Steve) Stay, St. George; Saraphina Lee, Cibecue, Arizona; Sheri (Alma) Hale, Marshall, Minnesota; Rebecca (Daniel) Orr, Aberdeen, South Dakota; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Leta Wahlquist, Manila; brothers, James Olson, Roosevelt; Roger (Karen) Olson, Springville; George (Shari) Olson, Manila; Gilbert (Becky) Olson, Evanston, Wyoming; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Blair Williams; children, Vernal Kent (Jessica) Williams and Margaret Anne Williams; her parents; and her siblings, Ruth Anderson and Fred Olson.
    Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Manila Ward Chapel.  There will be a viewing that morning at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
    Burial will be in the Manila Cemetery.
