Lurrine Potter Keel, age 86, of Roosevelt, passed away at her home on August 22, 2025.
Lurrine was born December 10, 1938, in Roosevelt, Utah, to George Leonard andDoris Mae Young Potter. She married Elmer Keel on June 15, 1956. He died January 11, 2000. They were later sealed in the Vernal Utah Temple.
Lurrine was a cook at the Frontier Grill for 35 years, then retired and decided towork again and worked for a couple more years at Maverik. She also sold for the Houseof Lloyd and sold so many items, she even earned a trip to Hawaii.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sheenjoyed gardening both food and flowers, being in the outdoors, collecting dolls, andsewing, even making her own patterns. She was very compassionate and was alwayshelping someone else. She was a wonderful cook, know for her scones, chili, and stew.
She loved her family more than anything, each member of it was very important toher and she cherished time with each of them.
She is survived by her children, Dale Junior (Laurita) Keel, Denny Wade (Sherrie)Keel, Jeneal (Ron) Mieure; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-greatgrandchildren; her siblings, Velma (Ron) Giles, Kay (Deloy “Bud”) Wilson, Leland(Teresa) Potter; sister-in-law, Ethelyn Potter, many nieces and nephews, and her dog, Foxy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer, siblings, Shirley Rachele,Mary Jane Hallet, Betty Fillingim, Leonard Potter, Richard Potter; nephew, NealFillingim, nieces, Betty Wilson and Marie Hallet.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Roosevelt Stake Center. A viewing will be held from 2:00 - 2:45 PM. Burial will be in the Neola Cemetery under the direction of the HullingerMortuary.
