Lou Wardle

Funeral service will be live-streamed and can be viewed HERE.

Frances Lou Jenkins Stubbs Wardle, age 86, of Neola, Utah, returned to her Heavenly Father on April 23, 2022, at the Uintah Basin Medical Center due to continued health complications.
She was born November 12, 1935, in Lapoint, Utah, to David Franklin and Mabel Harrison Jenkins.  Lou attended Alterra High School in Lapoint completing the 10th grade. She married Junior Ritchie Stubbs on December 15, 1951, and together they had 7 children.  They later divorced.
Lou married Ray Wardle on October 10, 1987. They spent 34+ beautiful years together; including raising their families, making a wonderful home together, attending the temple, holding many family BBQ’s, birthday parties, Christmas parties, and large family Sunday dinners. Ray and Lou loved their garden and shared all of their knowledge of canning with any family member that wanted to participate and learn.
Lou was quite the entrepreneur. She tried her hand at many things. She worked hard which resulted in her being promoted to many supervisor positions. She loved to work with the public and absolutely loved talking with people. She loved the game of softball. She was quite the avid player herself; not to mention coaching her own daughters and other young women for many years.
Lou was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She attended as many events as possible and would be the one yelling the loudest from the stands! She always bragged about her posterity. She also had many step-children and step-grandchildren. She had a HUGE heart and even though she was Aunt Lou to many nieces and nephews, she took them in and treated them as a mother would.  She made a great effort to stay in touch with the Stubbs side of the family, as they had become very dear to her. To Lou, family meant everything.
Lou is survived by her children, Brent (Linda) Stubbs, Brion (Pat) Stubbs, Brenda Stubbs, Beverly Berrett, Bart (Lisa) Stubbs, Brigitte Townsend, and Britt (Stephanie) Stubbs; , 55 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren; and a step-daughter, Sandra (Jet) Abegglen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Wardle; 2 sons-in-law, Michael Berrett and Dean Townsend; 1 grandson, Thomas Berrett; 2 step-sons, Michael Wardle and Bruce Wardle; parents; brothers, David, Earl “Nick,” Jack, Frank, & Rex Jenkins; sisters, Maude Jenkins, Pearl Preece, Merl Horrocks, Reva Workman.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Neola Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  There will be a viewing on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and on Monday at the church from 9-9:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Lapoint Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the hospital staff, specifically the doctor and nurses  who helped take care of her while in comfort care, and for everything they did for the family.
