Lorrie Perkins, age 87, of Myton, Utah, passed away August 15, 2026, in Roosevelt, Utah.

She was born at home on March 16, 1939, to William Henry and Mildred Bryson Balfour in Ogden, Utah, joining brothers Carl, Bob, Bill and John. At the age of four the family moved to Baker, La Grand, Oregon, where she graduated from Baker High School in 1957.

She worked at the City Library, then the Oregon State Welfare Office. In 1960 she moved to Tooele Utah to try to find work at the Tooele Army Depot. While waiting to be hired, she was in a severe car accident which caused her to be in a coma for three weeks and to return to Baker, Oregon, to be cared for by her mother.

In 1962 when able to return to work she worked at the Forest Service Office and then was called to work at the Tooele Army Depot where she met her husband Alanson Allen Perkins (Allen A) and they were married in the Manti Temple on February 28, 1963. They raised a family of seven children.

Lorrie was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding many positions. In 1987 She served a mission with her husband in the Washington Spokane mission and later served as a sister missionary in the 1992-1993 in the Arizona Tucson Mission.

Lorrie is survived by a son, Martin (Soledad) Perkins, Ruther Glen, VA; step-children, Joe (Mary) Perkins, Myton, UT; Steve (Linda) Perkins, Vernal, UT; Anna Mae (Deloy) Tanner, Mesa, AZ; Ron Perkins, Tooele, UT; 21 grandchildren, and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by all four brothers; her husband, Allen; two sons, Richard and Terry; her parents; daughters-in-law, Carol and Wendy; one great-granddaughter, McKenna; and one great-great-grandson, Theodore.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Myton Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There will be a viewing that morning at the church from 9:00-9:45 a.m.

Burial in Elgin Cemetery in Green River, Utah, at 2:00 p.m.
