Lonnie Gene Richardson, age 67, of Duchesne, passed away November 30, 2025, at his home after a battle with cancer.
He was born February 17, 1959, in Bronswick, Missouri, to Walter and Mary Smith Richardson. He married Margie Workman and they later divorced. He served in the United States Army.
Lonnie was a painter for homes and buildings for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, and all of it with his family because he loved being with them. He was always there for his grandchildren, biological or those who called him grandpa. His great-grandkids called him “GG” and it was his biggest joy to be with them. A couple of years ago he moved to Oregon and really enjoyed the time he got to spend with his son, grandchildren, and their families.
He was kind, caring, and would give you the shirt off his back – always putting others’ needs before his own. He cherished his friendships!
Lonnie is survived by his children, Amber Richardson (Doug Fouse), Duchesne; William (Charlotte) Workman, Newport, Oregon; 7 grandchildren (plus those who called him “Grandpa”); 8 great-grandchildren; his mother, Mary Richardson, Duchesne; siblings, Glen Richardson, Duchesne; Wanda (Larry) Mecham, Heber City; Walter (Lisa) Richardson, Sandy; Wesley Richardson, Colorado; Ronnie Richardson, Cody (Missie) Richardson, both of Duchesne; and many nieces and nephews whom he adored.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Angie Johnson; and his father, Walter Richardson.
Per his wishes, he was cremated.
