Marba Lois Mecham Bird, born August 31, 1930 to Vergil Warren and Marba Lemon Mecham in Ioka, she passed away July 24, 2015 in Roosevelt, after a short battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. She married Irvin Clarence Bird Dec 12 1946. They were later Sealed in the Salt Lake Temple June 20, 1962 for time and all eternity. He died August 8, 2002.
She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in primary, scouting, as a young women's leader, relief society president and ward missionary with her husband. She played volleyball, loved going for rides, camping and being outdoors with her family. She and her husband were camp ground hosts for many years and made many friends.
The most important thing in her life was her family, she was always concerned about their welfare and did everything she could to help when needed. She was the type that would save the world if she could. She rendered many hours of service to family and friends.
She is survived by her children who dearly love her, Dallas (Jerry) Harrison (Bird), Dorothie Hullinger, Irva Lee (Doug) Duncan, Roddie (Barbara) Bird, Tracy (Pam) Bird, Becky Reynolds, son-in-law, Dee Hullinger, brother, Leland Mecham, 35 grandchildren, 117 great grand children, and 19 great great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Beverly, son-in-law Edward Hullinger, 5 grandchildren, Misty, Chris, Gary, Kassi, Lily, four sisters and two brothers.
She will be dearly missed. we know that we will be reunited for a wonderful family reunion.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Myton LDS Chapel. Viewings will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. and Thursday at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
