Logan Ray Smith, age 73, beloved father, grandfather, and outdoors man, passed away on October 11, 2025 in Tabiona, Utah.
He was born on March 29, 1952, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Jimmie and Neva Atkinson Smith.  Logan developed a love for the outdoors that remained with him throughout his life.
He married the love of his life Louise Gardner on September 11, 1970, in Neola, Utah, she died July 9, 1991.  Together they built a family filled with love, hard work, and adventures.
Logan and Louise had three children: Jimmie, RaeAnn, and Travis. He cherished every moment spent with his family, whether hunting in the great outdoors, caring for his cows, or enjoying the excitement of quarter horse racing. Above all, Logan delighted in his grandchildren, finding joy in their lives and accomplishments.
He is survived by his children, Jimmie Smith (Cheri), RaeAnn Smith (Rex), and Travis G Smith (Robbie); his ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Rosemary Larson, Jammie Lindsay (Burke), Kriss Kofford (Mike), and Kathy Smith. As the only boy among five sisters, Logan’s sisters were very important to him and were always there for him through both the good times and the challenging ones.
Logan was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Smith; his parents, Jimmie and Neva Smith; brothers, Raymond and Roger Smith; sister, Cheryl Hatch; grandson, Jaxon Miles; and brothers-in-law, Shorty Hatch and Verl Larson.
Logan will be remembered for his hard work, love for his family, and passion for the outdoors. His legacy was not flashy, but steady, enduring, and deeply felt by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hullinger Mortuary.  Burial will follow in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
