Lloyd Jeffery Arrive

Lloyd Jeffery Arrive, age 65, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away April 9, 2024, at the Uintah Basin Medical Center.
    He was born April 27, 1958, in Roosevelt, to Stanley Arrive, Sr. and Kathleen McKewan. Lloyd was a member of the ROTC while in High School.
    Lloyd worked for many years as a police man for BIA Law Enforcement and for many years as the operator and DJ for Rez Radio Native Voltage, a local tribal radio station. He was known for his great sense of humor and his ability to talk to anyone. He enjoyed traveling and helping in the community with all of the Bear Dances, Sun Dances, sweats, and Pow Wows. He also liked to organize concerts for all of the many local bands – he had a passion for all kinds of music. He was dedicated to his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren – they meant the world to him!
    Lloyd is survived by his son, Danny Genereaux; daughter, Joy Lynn (Matt) Vreeken, Pleasant Grove; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; godson, Matthew Yazzie; siblings, Kirby (Rose) Arrive, Ft. Duchesne; Stanley Arrive, Jr., Fallon, NV; LeRoy (Melanie) Hatch, Jr., Ft. Washakie, WY; Persingula LaRose, Cortez, CO; Felecita (Duane) Foolbear, Roosevelt; aunts, Ruby Ridesatthedoor, Gardenia Murray; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debra Ann Arrive Chapoose; and his grandparents.
    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Duchesne Community Building. There will be a wake at the community building on Friday after 4:00 p.m.
    Burial will be in the Randlett Cemetery.
