Linda Whitsitt

Linda Kay Whitsitt, age 67, of Whiterocks Road, passed away May 29, 2015, at home after a battle with cancer.
She was born May 23, 1948, in Flint, Michigan, to Beverly John and Ella Mae Barnett Stewart. She attended Downey High School in Downey, CA, where she formed an all girl band and played rhythm guitar, with Karen Carpenter (The Carpenters) as the drummer. She married Terry Gordon Whitsitt in 1966, in Los Angeles, California.
Linda was a craftsman with wood. Her most notable and highly requested item was a log bench with birdhouses on each end. Her items were sold at Allred's Yard & Garden, among other places. She also owned & operated Artistic Creations Craft & Gift Mall, located next door to R.S. West Realty across the street from Davis Food & Drug in Roosevelt. She also was an online video producer, making trailers for Christian books and other Apologetics and End-Times Prophecies videos.
She was a devout Christian and a very outreaching woman, sharing the Lord with people in person and online. Her pastime was gardening.
Linda is survived by her husband, Terry; daughter, Kim Steele, both of Whiterocks Road; sons, Andee Whitsitt, Salt Lake City; Micah (Chelsea) Whitsitt, Kearns; grandchildren, David, Jeremy, & Ronnie Dickison; Kaylee Vose; Victoria Steele; Isabella Whitsitt; great-grandchild, Milenko Dickison; and a brother, Joel Symmes, Mill Valley, CA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Roosevelt Christian Assembly of God church where a viewing will be from 10-10:45 a.m.
Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park
