Leroy Fon Pectol, age 84, of Roosevelt, Utah, passed away on August 28, 2025 in Georgia.
Leroy was born on January 16, 1941, to Fon William Pectol and Florence (Babcock) Pectol. Raised with steadfast values of family, faith, and hard work, he carried these throughout his life.
On November 10, 1990, Leroy married Nancy Elizabeth Pectol in Bountiful, Utah. From their home in Roosevelt, the couple built a life rich with partnership—traveling together, enjoying time on the farm, and sharing many everyday adventures. Nancy was a constant companion to Leroy, often joining him when he went out to do collections during his banking career. Nancy died on January 14, 2024.
Known for his unwavering integrity, warmth, and devotion to family, Leroy’s life mirrored the love he spread. He leaves behind a legacy rooted in kindness, community, and hard work.
Leroy is survived by his son, Bryan Pectol and family; as well as the six children of Nancy whom he lovingly regarded as his own: James (Billye Sue) White and family, Shawn White and family, Terri Davis and family, Scott White and family, Stacy (Jade) Winterbottom and family, and Geoff (Julieta) White and family. Also survived by his siblings,, Max (Judy) Pectol and Beverly Malan; his sister-in-law, Robin Pectol, and many extended relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nancy; his siblings, Blaine Pectol, Don Pectol, Fonda Pectol, and Fonetta Pectol, and his brother-in-law, Mike Malan.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Neola Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A viewing will be held from 10:00 - 10:45 AM.
Burial will be in the Altamont Cemetery.
